{i=>[kūmara], content=>[Fudō Myōō (Skt. Acala) is one of the Wisdom Kings, a deity who features prominently in esoteric Buddhist contexts. Here, he appears in several different forms, and the Eight Child Acolytes (Skt. , ), the eight children that serve as his attendants, are included as well. This compilation is distinctive for including unusual Fudō iconographies. There are Fudō emanations with several faces and many hands. An inscription at the end reveals that it was copied out in Kamakura by a Tendai-sect priest named Ken’in (dates unknown).]}
