This footed bowl has a lid with a knob shaped like a wish-granting jewel. Some extant paintings depict similar bowls being used with a ritual incense burner with a handle, suggesting incense was stored in these kinds of bowls. Similar bowls made on the Korean Peninsula have survived to date, suggesting they were crafted in similar locations.
