Built in the Edo period (1603–1868), this hall within the Kyoto Imperial Palace served as a formal entrance. During celebrations, the imperial family and court officials entered through this space. The courtyard hosted traditional performances like [Sarugaku] theater and [Senshū Banzairaku], ritual dances wishing for prosperity and long life.
